Volunteer Opportunities:
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Are You Safe! There are a number of ways in which you can assist Are You Safe in fulfilling its’ mission to provide legal and social services to victims of domestic violence and to promote awareness, and education within our community.
Volunteer Attorneys: Our domestic violence clients receive pro bono legal representation from one of our volunteer attorneys at the final hearing for injunction. Volunteers average 1-2 hearings a year, although you are more than welcome to volunteer for more if you are available.
Committee Member: Are You Safe operates as a result of the work put in by 3 committees: the Marketing and Fundraising Committee, the Education Committee, and the Injunction Committee. We are always in need of volunteers to help fundraise and organize events, and develop and present educational seminars. Attorneys can join our Injunction Committee.
Special Events Volunteer: Are You Safe hosts two annual fundraising and awareness events—The Purple Party (a cocktail party) in September and the Golf Tournament in May. Volunteers can join one of the planning committees to assist in organizing the events or volunteers can participate in helping out the day of event.
If you are interested in volunteering with any of our committees please fill out and submit this form. The respective committee chair will contact you.
